Good example - realisation Elbe route in Ustí region

Although The Elbe Cycle Route (NUMBER 2) was marked out in 2000 and was well used by many cyclists in all sections going through the Usti Region, most of the sections were found wanting as for the technical and safety standards. In 2005, the Usti Region decided together with towns a cities located on the Route to deliver a safe cycletrack for the whole route in the territory. It's 2021 and the Usti Region announces that the work's been almost finished, with the exception of two short still missing sections. The total length of the Elbe Cycle Route going through the Usti region is 96 km, of which 81.5 km are separate and safe cycle tracks.

Thanks to all of the participants mentioned above is Elbe cycle route in Ústí nad Labem Region becoming a bike path with no motorized traffic offering safe and pleasant ride.

In the Ústí nad Labem Region, its length is more than 90 kilometres and connects towns like Štětí, Roudnice nad Labem, Litoměřice, Ústí nad Labem, and Děčín. On the way, the cyclists can visit, for example, the Lobkowicz chateau in Roudnice nad Labem, the world famous Terezín town, the historical centre of the Litoměřice town, the Střekov castle, and the Děčín chateau. A unique experience is the way through the Porta Bohemica valley, where the Elbe river formed a remarkable landscape with the deep canyon carved into the Central Bohemian Uplands.
