The Partnership for Urban Mobility was one of the partners in the project "Concept for the Development of Cross-Border Cycling in the Polish-Czech Border".
The three-year project implemented in the period 2/2017 - 7/2019 aimed to unify Polish and Czech methodologies in the field of long-distance and off-road cycling and in-line skating. This in terms of approaches to technical design and parameters, marking, services, promotion and marketing. Following previous local cross-border projects, policies, methodologies and strategies were inventoried on both sides along the border. However, the project mainly focused on future solutions and unification of approaches, for example on the interconnection of specific long-distance cycling routes, on the same approaches and the selection of suitable locations for the construction and classification of bike resorts and in-line products. And also to support, raise the profile and start implementing the solution of this gentle and healthy type of tourism development, which is very suitable for the revitalization of border areas.
